The environment

Plumbed in the Ischia's nature

The geomorphologic structure is very complex and characterised by steep slopes often furrowed by canyons and gorges, among tuffaceous cliffs, outlined by streams that flow to the Lido dei Maronti.

The flora and fauna are typically Mediterranean with shrubs and aromatic herbs typical of this area. The main ones include broom and lentisk as well as laurel and myrtle. The area is often covered with moonflower, honeysuckle and brank-ursine. Of great interest the presence of tropical plants such as agaves and prickly pear plants used as border hedges and wind breakers.
